Based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Lisa Spella has had a passion for design for as long as she can remember. As a child, her favorite project was continually reinventing her bedroom, dreaming of one day creating beautiful spaces of her own.
That passion evolved into a successful 15-year career as a corporate buyer, where she developed an eye for balancing color, pattern, texture, and scale while creating cohesive collections for consumers — skills that naturally translated into interior design.
As Lisa transformed her own home, she applied the same principles she had mastered in product development, layering finishes, textiles, furnishings, and architectural details to create spaces that felt collected, welcoming, and deeply personal. Friends and family soon began turning to her for guidance, trusting her ability to uncover their style and bring it to life in a way that felt authentic to them.
That passion eventually became Spella Design.
Today, Lisa specializes in creating timeless interiors that blend classic foundations with fresh, modern touches. She believes every home should tell the story of the people who live there, balancing beauty with functionality to create spaces that feel warm, elevated, and effortlessly livable.
